A March Day
“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade”
-Charles Dickens

"Everyone needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to the soul" -John Muir
Great quote to match wonderful photos. Love all those blues. I’s easy to forget that Dickens wrote poetry, but in prose. Thanks for reminding me.
Wonderful Dickens quote. Your pictures look like a mix of warming and still frozen.

This blog certainly describes Ohio right now. It is supposed to be in the mid to low 30s F down from the 60s and 50sF. There is a prediction of anywhere from 1-5″ of snow by Tuesday due to the Alberta clipper that will be coming through. It is not unusual for us to get this kind of weather in March. A few years ago, we had 5″-10″ of snow around my dad’s birthday, March 26. It would be nice to see one more snowfall before Spring. I just hope my daffodils, hyacinths and flowering quince make it through this weather. I don’t think it will hurt my bluebells since it is only the leaves not the flowers that are up.
Love that quote. It describes your photos perfectly.
Me too.
Perfect quote to go with these images! – reminds me of our walk in Canmore.. c
Same here, yesterday, but for the difference in temperature. 80 degrees in the sun, 60 degrees in the shade, and wind-chill maybe made it seem like 50 degrees. Fahrenheit, of course, a silly system that needs to go metric.
